QC Coaches Find New Roles At The College Level

This fall, Queen City FC had several coaches working at the collegiate level, with a few finding their way to the college level for the first time.

The Johnson State College Men's Soccer Program saw Club Founder and Director of Coaching (Shane Bufano) in a new role as he began the fall as the Head Coach for the Badgers.  Bufano help lead the Badgers to one of their best starts in nearly a decade.  Bufano made his way to Johnson State after two and half seasons as an assistant coach with the Saint Michael's College Women's Program under Wendy Elles.

Joining Bufano at Johnson State, was Kyle Underwood.  Underwood found a new role as an assistant coach with the Badgers taking care of all aspects of the program.  Underwood arrived after several years at Missisquoi Valley Union High School in various roles from Head Varsity Girls Coach to working with the boys program as well.

Longtime Queen City Girls Director Chris George found himself in Poultney, Vermont as an assistant for the Green Mountain College Women's Soccer team.  George was familiar with the school having played two seasons for the Eagles in the mid 2000's.  This was George's second stint at the college level as he spent time in the late 2000's as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at King's College in Pennsylvania, as well as a stop as an assistant with the Kings Men's Soccer team.

Stewart Wright, who came to Queen City FC last season from Utah also made his way to the collegiate ranks this fall as he worked under Wendy Elles with the Saint Michaels College Women's Soccer team.  Wright specializes in out of state recruiting for the The Purple Knights and is involved with training plans and day to day management.

Go Badgers, Go Eagles and Go Purple Knights!!
